Infrastructure

  • Embedded R execution with function-level specification of degree of parallelism
  • Optimized interface to load data from several sources into Oracle Database
  • Support for efficient discretization of numeric variables

Analytics

  • ore.neural provides a highly flexible network architecture with a wide range of activation functions, supporting 1000s of formula-derived columns
  • New ore.glm prevents selection of less optimal coefficient methods with parallel distributed execution in-database
  • Support for weights in regression models
  • New ore.esm enables time series analysis, supporting both simple and double exponential smoothing for scalable execution in-database
  • Execute standard R functions for Principal Component Analysis (princomp), ANOVA, and factor analysis on database data, expanding in-database analytics
  • Newly exposed in-database Oracle Data Mining algorithms for Association Rules with igraph package compatibility, Non-negative Matrix Factorization, and Orthogonal Partitioning Clustering

Production Deployment

  • Users and administrators can easily migrate their entire in-database R script repository and R object datastores across databases to speed production deployment
  • “Snapshot” production environments for evaluation/debugging in test systems
